Simple Steps to Becoming a Fashionista

Fashion is not only an art, but a religion for many. Fashion has taken a new form in the Nigeria and we are witnessing huge fashion houses, organizing
fashion shows, which is hardly reachable or wearable by common people. For ordinary folks who are supposed to be early to work after morning chores, meeting up with a good fashion statement is a challenging task. Therefore, getting updated with the latest fashion trends in the market is key to trendy dress sense. Let's take a look at how you can be a fashionista without necessarily spending so much.

  • What suits you the best : The meaning of being fashionable is not to wear what is in trend blindly, but to have a look in the mirror and see what suits you the best. You can empty your complete closet and have a look at new and old ones, do mix and match, wear it and if you can carry it confidently, go on and rock it. Kate Middleton has already suggested by that you can repeat your clothes and accessories, but try to mix and match.

  • Hair, Hair style and hair cut : If you have a real long hair and don’t wish to go for a cut, then you can try out the best hairstyle trends in the market. Coloring your hair with latest shades can give you a complete new look. Side buns, braids and hair updo’s are well in trend. Playing with short hair is real fun, where you can go for various highlights, cuts and styling. You can make yourself look like a funky sport loving person to a serious office goer.

  • Accessories can’t be forgotten : Remember minimal is maximum now. Either use the most latest piece of accessories or go minimal to avoid any faux pas. It can be just a stylish belt, an attractive pair of sandals, a statement necklace or just wonderful earrings. Don’t just load yourself with everything.

  • Bags, Clutches and Purses : Bags and clutches can never be left behind, when you are thinking to be projected as a Fashionista. Have an eye catching collection of bags with some attractive shades to complete your look as a Fashionista. Colors of the bags play a major role and how you pair it. MK, Chanel, Louis Vitton are such brands, which have reached to every corner of the world. If you can't buy the original designer bags, you could go for the first grade fairly used. There are equally good looking quality bags ranging from #5000 and above you can invest in.

  • Keep an eye on latest collection: As I said earlier, that you don’t need to be like the one on the ramp, but you can always have a look out for the accessories, color combinations and the latest coming up in the market.

  • Styling: Styling yourself should be more precise in your head. You can’t wear a sporty hand band with a retro dress, so follow a pattern to style yourself. Either you can be sporty, retro, punk or an uber upper class madame.
