'Forbes' Says Fashion Design Is Not a Meaningful Career

Recently, Forbes teamed up with PayScale to
make a list of the most and least meaningful
jobs in the world, and fashion designers
didn't come out seeming very fulfilled. The
rankings come from surveys with workers
in a wide range of fields that asked about
compensation and if workers felt their job
made a difference in the world. Topping the
list of most meaningful positions was
orthopedic surgeon, police chief, and youth
ministers.

The least meaningful jobs included senior
media buyers and photo retouchers, with
fashion designer coming in at seventh, tied
with shippers for lack of meaning.
Apparently, designing threads to stunt in
actually doesn't make the world a better
place. Sorry, Kanye.

So, if feeling good about yourself is
important to you, you probably shouldn't be
a fashion designer. But that's okay, the
world could use more orthopedic surgeons,
anyway.-Esquire

I guess people with the so called important careers design their clothes themselves...

What's your take on this?
