THE MODEL DIET: 5 FOOD LESSONS FROM THE RUNWAY

Though models can be called out for looking
too skinny during fashion week, during the
marathon of shows and presentations, these
girls eat (trust us, we see it backstage). Sure,
they want to look fit in crop tops, but
they're also fueling 14-hour days. Our
friends at Cosmo got the scoop on what the
long-legged crew is eating, and here's what
you can learn from it:

Have breakfast: Is this the biggest diet cliche
of all? The fact is, fueling up for a big day is
key for boosting both your energy and your
metabolism.

Juice it up: These girls don't juice in place of
food, but in addition to their meals. Edie
Campbell hydrates with coconut water,
while Georgia May Jagger likes watermelon
juice.

Focus on fat burners: Avocado, salmon, and
coffee are all natural fat-burning foods , and
they appear all over the models' meal plans.
Always be prepared: "I usually carry
granola bars on me in case the catering
sucks," said Suvi Riggs.

Protein, protein, protein: "This food is
disgusting—it's like the Second World War:
so much bread, very little meat!" said
Vasilisa Pavlova of some sub-par catering.
And Anastasia Ivanova? She stopped for a
bacon cheeseburger halfway through Day 3.
